ABOUT US

A human-sized establishment with a family history.

21 avenue de la mer à l’ermitge has been receiving visitors since 1979 for a night or for slightly longer stays. Initially, a hotel residence under its old name Le Dor y flane, Nicolas and his father Henri Burguera have been at work since 2006 under his new name Coco Island. Our 22-room property was awarded its first star in 2019 and we are on our way to our second star!

Ideally located 400 meters from the famous lagoon of the hermitage known for its richness and aquatic diversity; you will find just as easy access to the place de l’ermitage which has all the local shops you might need during your stay.
You will enjoy a central location for quick access to all of the island’s points of interest. We are indeed at the foot of the tamarind road, and we are less than 5 minutes walk from the 2 bus networks that serve the west: the yellow bus network, and the Kar Ouest network.
ACTIVITIEs

At the center of activities, seaside or mountainside

Saint Gilles is the most touristic city of Réunion. Located on the west coast; you can practice all the nautical activities offered at the port of St Gilles located 2km from Coco Island.
Many walks are also located in the western sector and the entrance gates to the Mafate circus via the Pebble River or the Maïdo are located in our same commune of St Paul.
