Terms and conditions

1. Acceptance of the Terms

Before any transaction, the client acknowledges having read and expressly accepted without reservation these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, available on our website www.coco-island.re and on our registration sheet.

2. Personal Data Protection

In accordance with the law of June 20, 2018, and our policy regarding personal data protection, Coco Island safeguards all information entrusted in the course of its activity. Clients may opt out of any telephone solicitation (BLOCTEL).

3. Police Form

In compliance with the decree of August 18, 2015, reaffirming the obligation to complete a police form, Coco Island will transmit the data from this form to the competent authorities for foreign guests only.

4. Outside Visitors

No visitors are allowed except those registered at reception.

5. Accommodation Capacity

The number of people accommodated may not exceed the maximum capacity of the reserved room. (Minors, including babies, count toward the total room capacity.)

6. Pets

For the comfort of all, pets are not permitted. (Please contact reception before booking for any exceptions.)

7. Narcotic Substances

The introduction and use of narcotic substances are strictly prohibited on the premises.

8. Noise and Disturbances

In accordance with Article R1334 of the Public Health Code, noise disturbances, even during the day, are prohibited. Electricity and lighting are automatically turned off in kitchens (private or shared) and common areas between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. For everyone’s comfort, the use of music speakers is not allowed.

9. Opening Hours

Reception and the wet area are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

10. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in is between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Rooms must be vacated by 10:30 a.m. on the day of departure.

11. Groups

The hotel does not accommodate groups. Each booking must correspond to a single accommodation unit. Exceptions may be granted subject to a deposit of up to €350 per room, to ensure the comfort and tranquility of all guests.

12. Housekeeping

Housekeeping is provided every 4 nights. An additional cleaning service can be requested at a rate of €14.

13. Guest Conduct

The hotel reserves the right to refuse access or expel any guest whose clothing or behavior is indecent, noisy, offensive, or contrary to good morals or public order. In such cases, no refund or compensation will be provided, and payment for reserved and unused nights will remain due.

14. Fixed Compensation Fees

The following flat-rate fees apply automatically to cover costs related to the incidents below:
a. Lost keys: €25
b. Smoking in the room: €200
c. Unregistered external person: €30 per night for the entire stay
d. Abnormal damage to hotel linen: €80
e. Material damage or loss: 80% of the item’s replacement value
f. Missing towel: €15

15. Deposits and Charges

A €50 deposit will be pre-authorized on the guest’s credit card upon key handover. A €350 per room deposit is required for multiple or group bookings. Deposits will be refunded within 48 hours after departure if no damage is found. Compensation fees (Article 14) may be charged directly via the card used for booking.

16. Rates and Tourist Tax

Rates are quoted in euros, all taxes included. The tourist tax (€0.90 per day per adult) is not included and must be paid on-site.

17. Payment Terms

For stays of 1 to 5 nights, full payment is required at the time of booking.
For stays of more than 5 nights, a 30% deposit is required, with the balance due upon check-in.

18. Accepted Payment Methods

Cash, credit cards, American Express, bank transfers, and holiday vouchers.

19. Cancellation Policy

For cancellations made up to 30 days before arrival, 30% of the total booking amount or one night’s stay will be charged.
For cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival, the full stay will be charged.

20. No Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the client has no right of withdrawal for accommodation services provided for a specific date or period.

21. Lost and Found

Any item forgotten or lost in the establishment and found by staff will be recorded and stored. The guest will be contacted to arrange its return. If there is no response within one month, the hotel reserves the right to dispose of the item depending on its nature and condition. Shipping costs are at the guest’s expense.

22. Liability

Coco Island declines any responsibility in the event of theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the stay.
